Be Balanced

Cartilage, bones, tendons, ligaments, joint capsules and muscles are nour ished. Lung performance capacity increases. The metabolism is stimulated and fat is burned at an increased rate. The heart is strengthened. The benefits of endurance training are already incredibly high. Balanced Motion is a form of endurance training and consequently produces all of the effects listed above. But Balanced Motion is even more: Due to the unstable base on which the exercises are carried out – the pad – a multitude of muscles, are activated. The entire body is working in order to main tain balance when exercising on the Pad. This increases strength, which in turn conserves the locomotor system. This means increased wellbeing through freedom from pain. The movements are easy to understand and give participants a sense of achieve ment as well as reinforcing their faith in their abilities. The 3⁄4 time music creates a trance-like state in participants – the sensation of moving on clouds starts to underline all movements. Participants start to forget

about themselves and replace stress and thoughts about everyday life with a sen sation of floating and a weightlessness of being. Carrying out the exercises without shoes enables the softness and warmth of the Balance Pad to be experienced directly and increases the sense of wellbeing. Warm feet that are well supplied with blood contribute to a sense of wellbeing that spreads through the entire body.

Visualisation instructions such as ‘Push clouds away’, ‘We connect the sky and earth to train as if on clouds’, and the like create pleasant images in the minds of the participants.
